Zuri James

Zuri James is an American actor born in New York, NY. Zuri has honed his craft and trained at the Anthony Meindl Actor's Workshop (AMAW) at the Master Level in Atlanta, GA. He has also trained at the Alliance Theater in Atlanta as well as a number of other top theater and film programs in both Atlanta and New York. Zuri James has starred in over 30 productions, including roles in the Netflix and CW show Legacies and the Netflix show Dynasty. Some of his other notable credits include appearing in a supporting role alongside Robert De Niro and Zach Efron in Dirty Grandpa, and a lead and supporting role respectively in Your Worst Nightmare and Swamp Murders on Investigation Discovery. Zuri grew up playing basketball, where he played Div-I basketball at Georgia SouthernUniversity and earned a degree in Finance. He worked in the Finance Industry before makingthe switch and following in his mother’s footsteps, who was an actress off Broadway for manyyears. Zuri is a published poet and artist who enjoys expressing himself creatively through amyriad of platforms and mediums. He also is an avid supporter of meditation and wellness, and teaches meditation techniques to others as well. He is very excited to join the AMAW team asone of their newest teachers!
