"Originally from Paris, France, Roxane was lucky enough to grow up in NY where she picked up an American accent and a deep appreciation for multicultural environments.
After training at the Cours Florent in Paris, Roxane graduated with a MA (Hons) Acting from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2017.
In addition to acting and playwriting (The White Feminist’s Guide to Sex and Hip Hop; Sincerely Jodie), Roxane also works in production for TV (National Televison Awards; TOWIE; A League of Their Own: Road Trip), short films (For People In Trouble, dir. Alex Lawther; Kinked, dir. Freya Mavor), commercials (Xbox Gears of War), and theater (Maiden Speech Festival).
Roxane feels very privileged to join the AMAW team and hopes to foster an atmosphere of kindness, curiosity, and joy!"
What Inspired you to become an actor?
I started acting because that’s what confident (read energetic, opinionated) children do after school. Then it morphed into what good students do for extra credit. Later on, when choosing a career path felt so terrifying and confusing, I was lucky enough to have a supportive family who encouraged me to keep creating. Today, being in the industry allows me to uncover new levels of curiosity, joy, and freedom.
