Samantha Morrow

Samantha is an actor/writer/director originally from Atlanta, GA. She started her career as a theater director almost 15 years ago. She founded The Atlanta Theatre Collective in 2013 as a way for young artists to learn how to take up space and connect to their authentic creativity. Samantha has directed musicals, operas and plays, but her true joy has been directing new works. She has directed 3 world premieres since moving to New York in 2018. Samantha joined the AMAW studio in 2018 and became an AMAW teacher in 2021. Samantha is an alum of The Lincoln Center Director's Lab (2015). Samantha has a BA in Counseling Psychology and is thrilled to be starting a nonprofit, equipping marginalized youth with tools to access and process their emotions in a healthy way through acting. Samantha is a proud member of the queer community and a proud van dweller. Why did you become an Actor? I have been telling stories in various forms for as long as I can remember. I came into acting by way of writing and directing. I was drawn to acting because of the vulnerability it requires and the permission it offers to explore the many parts of ourselves. Samantha is honored to be working for a studio and teaching a philosophy that has made a difference in how she approaches the work and everyday life.
